Chapter 411: Melody is awake

Izaak entered the chamber he had specifically designed for Melody, the air was filled with the roses, which were placed in a brass vase right beside the bedside table.

Last year, after they had left, Melody had asked him to turn her into a vampire, a request that had echoed in his mind ever since. He couldn’t turn down her plea; it felt like destiny pulling them together.

After he brought peace to the borders, brought her to the palace in the same casket that had become a symbol of their bond.

He caressed her pale face, tracing the contours of her features as he settled down before her. “You look beautiful, Melody,” he murmured. “It’s strange that a year has passed, yet my love for you has only grown. Whenever I go to bed, I see you first, and whenever I wake up, I come to see you. Without you, my days don’t pass; it feels like you’re right beside me, just not in a physical form.”

Izaak withdrew his hand from her face, his heart aching with the weight of his feelings. He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the center of her forehead, as if hoping to bridge the gap between their worlds. The kiss lingered, infused with a promise of love.

He straightened, gazing into her serene expression, and felt a surge of hope. “I miss you every moment, but I know you’ll awaken soon. We have so much to share, so much to build together. Just as you asked, I’ll wait for you. Always.”
