Many people had seen them with their own eyes. They also made it to the front page news on every news media.
Even Shield and Black Hawk were stunned.
Shouldn’t these Warmachines be targeting us?

“What a pity we’ve already found out their plan. They can’t threaten us! Moreover, they’ve basically told us everything by carrying out their plan ahead of time like that. We must not let this become an obstacle to Restricted Area 76! We must take them out!” Jester King laughed.

The battle went on until dusk struck, when the moon rose.
Both parties had sustained a lot of damages at that point, but under Daxon’s leadership, Erudia was able to win the fight.
They wiped out every single Warmachine and left none behind except the ten that they captured.
Even though there were casualties, things were still far better than what was anticipated.
Suicide Squad had the most casualties, but merely lost about one-third of its members.
The other units had far less casualties.
Truth be told, Dragonites had predicted that the whole Suicide Squad would be gone by the end of the battle. The same was said about Mecha Corps.
Hence, they were a little surprised to see such an easy victory.
Daxon and his fighters were not even injured.
“Hahahaha! I told you! With Erudia’s current strength, these Warmachines are nothing! You see this, Crown King? We’ve won against Warmachines! They weren’t as tough as you made them out to be! They’re still made out of flesh and blood! They bleed! One shot was all it took to blow a hole in them!”
“Yeah! They’re nothing! We didn’t need Shelter! We didn’t even need to build a wall!”
“We beat them on our own! Hahahaha!”
Craig and his men exclaimed in absolute confidence.
“Wait. That’s not quite right. At least Crown King found out about them ahead of time and warned us about the Warmachines, giving us the time to prepare!” someone commented.
“That’s true! But these Warmachines are really not that strong!”
Chapter 2639 Another Powerful Enemy Approaches
“Yeah! They are actually kind of weak, to be honest. We didn’t need to send out this many fighters!”
“Warmachines are just weaklings to the fighters in The Cardinal Hall. Deploying them feels insulting.”
“This is way different from what Levi described! Why would we need to build a wall for this? Who in the right mind would suggest something like that?”
“We should probably stop building those shelters! It’d be a waste of resources! Tell Gary to stop the project for it’s a waste of their time!”
“It would be a huge loss for us if we actually listened to Levi and utilized all resources to build a wall around the nation! The entirety of Erudia’s resource for this? What a joke!”
“Let’s not listen to him the next time news like this pops up! Yes, he found out about it ahead of time. I’ll give him that. But think about it, we would’ve been fine either way! We would have similar results just from reacting to the situation on the fly!”
“True! With Dragonites’ capabilities, the results would most likely be the same. The battle would have taken an hour longer at most!”

After their victory, everyone started complaining about Levi and his hilariously illogical description of the Warmachines.
They laughed at how exaggerated it was and how unnecessary his plans were.
It was true that Warmachines were terrifying, but Craig and the others did not consider them to be a threat worth exerting the nation’s resources for.
It’s ridiculous!
Everyone there was talking about it, thinking that Levi was overreacting.

It was initially just a small group of people in the discussion, but the group gradually grew, and things got chaotic by the end of it all.
“Alright, everyone! Quiet down! Levi did all that for Erudia’s sake after all! Crown King did nothing wrong! He had always served Erudia wholeheartedly and did everything with Erudia’s best interest in mind! Besides, he predicted the Warmachines’ arrival!” Craig stated and calmed everyone down.
“He’s right!” Daxon chimed in. “Maybe Crown King had a lapse of judgment! After all, mistakes like this are not uncommon! For Erudia’s safety, I’d rather be overprepared than under, just in case.”
Hearing what Daxon said, everyone nodded.
“Indeed. It would have been great if Warmachines didn’t appear and we didn’t have to use the weapons we prepared. It could have been zero casualties.”
“I have to say, being prepared is still far better than not, but Crown King really did make a huge fuss about a trivial matter!”
“We should be complimenting him instead of blaming him! But seeing that it was a huge waste of resources, it is even now, right?”

The realization was a relief to everyone present, and they gradually mellowed down.
“Alright, now let’s go clean up the battlefield and check on the conditions of the injured!”
“Send word to the back end and tell them to cease all operations. Let Gary stop what he’s doing and tell him to come to us. We’ll talk to him about halting the construction of Shelters!”
Craig and the lot started giving out orders.
At that moment, Daxon actually wanted to stop them from doing that.
He figured what Levi said was right and that those shelters still had to be built since he knew how strong Levi was.
He trusted Levi’s judgment, even though things turned out a little differently from Levi’s expectations.
However, Daxon kept quiet, thinking that he had no ground to intervene.
After all, his status was on par or slightly lesser than all the leaders in front of him, so his only option was to give up.
“Alright then. Seeing that there’s nothing more for me to do here, I’ll take my leave,” Daxon said and got ready to leave with his men.
“No problem. Thanks again!”
After that, Daxon gathered his men and was about to leave before they suddenly heard a rumbling.
At the same time, everything started to shake.
The ocean surface not far from them was bubbling none stop.

Chapter 2640 Backup Has Arrived
The alarm rang and echoed throughout the whole defense barrier
“To your stations!”
“Get ready for battle!”
Craig and the others were panicking and shouted immediately.
Everyone got the order and quickly returned to their stations. They were far more horrified this time around since it was something unprecedented.
“Was Crown King right all along? Are we really no match for these Warmachines? Are there stronger ones approaching?” Nicholas said.
No one there made a sound to deny him and merely waited in silence.
They all knew what Nicholas said might be possible and that they would be in big trouble if that were the case.
That said, everyone was quick to react and got themselves ready for the battle before staring at the horizon.
It felt like the rumbling was coming from two different directions.
From the sounds of it, the fight to come was going to be a lot tougher than the one they just fought.
“Don’t overthink this, you guys! Those aren’t our enemies! They’re our backup! From the east, we have Sacred Organization and Maya Industries at the west!” Daxon quickly explained after he took a glance and noticed who was coming.
“Huh? Backup? So they’re our own people? God! I almost had a heart attack!”
“Hahahaha, I knew it!”
Craig and the others immediately loosened up after hearing what Daxon said.
“Everyone, this is our backup! You can relax!”
“They’re our own people! The enemy has been completely wiped out and won’t be coming back!”
“Stand down everyone! It’s just backup!”

The news echoed throughout the defense line and allowed everyone to relax once again.
Soon after, the two teams arrived at the coast.
It was clear that Levi had made arrangements with them as both organizations brought all their trump cards with the number of divine tools they had with them.
And indeed, Levi had arranged for Maya Industries and Sacred Organization to fight the Warmachines.
Death Fiend and the others immediately mobilized all the elites when they got the message and came to assist.
“Huh? Where are the Warmachines? Are they not here yet?” Death Fiend and the lot were all puzzled.
“Yeah. Why can’t we see them? I thought you guys were going to be in a heated battle.” Donald and Tyrone were just as confused on the other side.
So, they took a closer look at their surroundings.
Their expression changed drastically when they noticed the state of the sea, covered in blood, corpses and the likes.
Almost the entire surface had been covered.
“No way! Have you guys already slain all the Warmachines?” Death Fiend asked as he was shocked.
Everyone gasped when they heard that.
Even Donald was surprised by what he saw.
“Yes, that’s right. We’ve just managed to kill them all. The battle is over!”
“Over here are the Warmachines that we have captured!” Chandler pointed out somewhere not far from them.
As soon as they saw the Warmachines, the backups gawked in awe with their jaws dropped.
Hmmm… What does this mean? Has Erudia become super strong or are Warmachines just that weak?
Truth be told, everyone was prepared to die after they got the message to assist Erudia.
But in the end, the people requesting backup wiped out the enemy before assistance even arrived.
That’s insane! This means we came here for nothing! Is this some kind of joke?
“Wait. Which is it? Are you guys too strong, or are they just too weak? Are we going to just leave after coming all the way here without doing anything?”
Donald and his lot were also perplexed by their current situation.
After all, his initial plan was to show the world how strong he and Tyrone had gotten by slaying Warmachines using their divine tools.
Nevertheless, there was no chance for Donald to perform, and that annoyed him.
“You guys were too late!” Daxon smiled.
“But to be honest with you, they weren’t that strong. The casualties we suffered were minimal! But of course, that’s thanks to Dragonites focusing all their firepower on them and turning the ocean into a sea of flame. We’ve all underestimated the power of this advanced weaponry.”
