The burly proprietors thought they had misheard. “T-Ten bucks?”

After all, inflation had gotten so bad these days that ten bucks really would not amount to anything!

Frank nodded. “Exactly, or I’d be suspected of meddling if I don’t get paid!”

Jada smiled in wry amusement-Frank was really quite something, even bothering to go through the motions!

Seeing that Frank was a good man and had the strength to help, the proprietors were grateful and did as he said, paying him the ten bucks before calling the developer.

The developer, however, refused to answer his call, even blocking them soon enough.

It certainly left the proprietors disheartened. “Kid, this isn’t going to work-we don’t even know where he is. I guess this is it.”
