“Nonsense! I never told you to do anything of the sort!” Clarice’s eyes were burning with rage.

“I knew you would deny it.” Dr. Wagner pulled out his phone and showed the crowd a recording.

“You made sure I didn’t record anything on my phone, but you never expected that I had installed a hidden camera in my office. This footage captures the entire process of you bribing and threatening me. The evidence is right here. It’s useless for you to deny it!”

All eyes turned to Clarice, shocked. Their gazes shifted to Grant, now filled with suspicion and doubt.

Clarice’s mind buzzed as blood drained from her face.

She was cautious, but she let this tiny detail slip.

However, it did not matter. She had done it on her own accord and had never mentioned that Grant had instructed her to do so in front of Dr. Wagner, so he still had room to maneuver. Clarice had failed in her duties and was willing to take all the blame for him.
