“How is that even possible?!” Steven was visibly shaken; his eyes widened in disbelief. “Grant relies on a wheelchair to get around. He’s been taking medication for years and needs constant care. How could someone like that handle the responsibilities of a president?

“Besides, Justin has Old Master Nigel backing him, and his feud with Gregory has already been resolved. How could Grant overthrow him and take the position for himself? Does he even have the support? Are his legs up to it? Even if he makes it, he’ll just fall flat on his face. Old Master Nigel would never stand by quietly!”

“But you have to realize there are only two heirs to the Salvador family: Grant and Justin,” Bella said, her eyes shut tight as she racked her brain, biting down on her lips so hard that it bled.

“If Justin falls-and worse, drags the entire Salvador family down with him-then no matter how much Grandpa Nigel loves him, he’ll have to consider the family’s future. Not to mention, after Grant’s return, Chairman Salvador’s stance shifted from favoring Justin to staying neutral. If push comes to shove, Grandpa Nigel might have no choice but to give up on Justin and let Grant take over.”

Steven’s face turned deathly pale upon hearing this.

Bella took a deep breath, her chest rising and falling sharply. “Of course, that’s the worst-case scenario. In Grandpa Nigel’s eyes, no amount of power or status outweighs the safety of his grandson. If the fight continues, who knows what deranged schemes Grant might come up with? Grandpa Nigel has been guarding that bloody secret and bearing the pressure for years. He must be suffering.”

“Ms. Bella, we must figure out a way to help Justin through this crisis!” Steven leaned forward with worry etched across his face as he looked at the gloom-stricken Bella.
