It was after falling silent for a moment that he said, “No. The Holdens never attended parties held by the Riveras.” He was right. The Holdens and the Riveras conflicted so they probably would not attend events held by the other family’s relatives.

Also, Jeremy said at the hospital that he was catching a flight, so he probably was on a business trip and would not return so soon.
