While Evelyn was busy with Derek, Rayna navigated through the crowd as she made her way back from the restroom. She swayed her body to the rhythm of the music, feeling the pulsating beat vibrate through her.

Her thoughts wandered to Evelyn, who seemed so preoccupied tonight. Rayna wished she could convince her friend to let loose and have fun, but it seemed like that was a lost cause.

As she approached the corner leading back to their table, she passed a group of guys standing close to the bar, their laughter and conversation loud and boisterous. She paid them no mind, keeping her eyes ahead until she felt someone tap her ass suddenly. The impact sent a shock through her system, and she froze in place, stunned.

Heat flooded her face as anger surged within her. She spun around, her eyes scanning the faces of everyone around, trying to identify the culprit. But everyone around looked at her with feigned innocence, smirking and nudging each other.

Her eyes continued searching until they landed on the retreating figure of a man she recalled had walked past her at the same time just before she felt the tap on her ass.

Assuming the worst, Rayna’s eyes narrowed, and she stormed towards him, her heels clicking louder with each step. She planted herself in front of him, crossing her arms over her chest, her expression a mixture of fury and disbelief.
