Chapter 6224
Helena’s enthusiasm and proactive approach sharply contrast with the more reserved demeanor typical of Eastern women. Nevertheless, Maria fully understands Helena’s intentions. She knows how Helena feels about Charlie, and the sight of three women being brought here by him would naturally trigger a competitive spirit within her, even if there’s no explicit sense of rivalry.
On the other hand, Zeba and Tara felt a bit uneasy. They couldn’t shake the feeling that Helena’s straightforwardness with Charlie implied that they should take a step back and not intrude on their dynamic.
Charlie found himself feeling slightly awkward as well. While he had a vague inkling that he and Helena might share some unspoken connection, his memory of those moments was hazy. He had pieced together bits of information from Helena’s reactions and certain details about her private life but had never pushed for clarity, as they had both agreed to keep it unspoken.
Noticing that Helena was being more forthright and assertive than usual, he began to realize that living with these women might be more complicated than he had anticipated.
Under Helena’s guidance, they entered the interior of the royal family’s polar villa. It was evident that the place had been meticulously cleaned and decorated, looking far more refined than during Charlie’s last visit, shedding any previous sense of neglect.
In the living room, a fire crackled in the fireplace, the sound adding a warmth to the atmosphere that was undeniably inviting.
Helena gestured for everyone to take a seat on the sofa by the fireplace and smiled as she explained, “This villa has a total of five rooms—three upstairs and two downstairs. Mr. Wade’s room is the master bedroom on the first floor, while the three ladies’ rooms are on the second floor. I’ll take you all up later to look at the rooms, and you can decide how to allocate them among yourselves.”
