Chapter 6175
A group of teenagers had virtually no awareness of the danger around them.
They gathered in a lively bunch, chatting and laughing as they made their way toward the city, their spirits high and their behavior typical of carefree children.
After leaving their previous location, a few of them spotted an intersection and settled on a bench there, sharing a pack of cigarettes. Ranging in age from about twelve or thirteen to eighteen or nineteen, they each lit up, puffing out rafts of smoke.
Bruce Brown, their leader, concealed a baseball bat behind him, resting his hands on the backs of the benches flanking him. He squinted his eyes, scanning the crowd around him as if searching for prey.
Charlie turned to Isaac Cameron and said, “Isaac, park the car across from them. I’ll take it from there.”
Isaac Cameron replied, “Young Master, are you going to go by yourself?”
Charlie nodded and inquired, “Are you still worried I can’t handle them?”
