Chapter 6171
After Jacob and Elaine slipped into a deep coma, Mindy Cortez first opened the rear window and switched the air conditioner to external circulation. Once the air was refreshed, she retracted the partitioned TV.
Claire looked back at the two and noticed that they were sleeping soundly, their chests rising and falling in a steady rhythm as they breathed, which eased her mind completely.
Mindy Cortez glanced at her with a smile and reassured, “Ms. Wilson, there’s no need to worry; they’re both safe.”
“Okay,” Claire replied with a slight nod, then inquired, “By the way, when Charlie arrives in Australia, he should reach out to me as soon as possible. If he can’t get in touch, he will certainly worry. Should I leave him a message?”
Mindy Cortez responded, “Once you board the ship, we will take care of everything else. The Young Master will undoubtedly be anxious, but I believe that no matter how you part ways, the sorrow of separation is unavoidable. I can’t solve any of the Young Master’s problems, so he must process this at his own pace.”
She then looked at Claire earnestly and continued, “Ms. Wilson, while parting may be painful, it will ultimately be beneficial for the Young Master’s revenge and the safety of both of you.”
“I understand,” Claire replied with a bitter smile, nodding slightly as she thought, “No matter what, I can’t hold Charlie back anymore. He has so much to do, and I can neither help him nor prevent myself from being a burden. I hope that once I’m gone, he can move on and focus on what he needs to do.”
