“When I was exiled, I could have taken Trion with me—if you hadn’t wagged your tail at Leech like the filthy dog you are. You destroyed my life, took my brother, and got rewarded for it!”

Orpal swung Thorn, the Davross spear cutting through the air with a hiss. The force alone shredded wood and stone into splinters.

“That wasn’t fair, Rizel,” he said, shaking his head. “It wasn’t right. We committed the same crime. Shouldn’t we have received the same punishment?”

A lunge of Thorn struck Bromann in the chest. The kinetic energy alone reduced the man to gore before Rizel could even react.

“There. I lost my father. So did you,” Orpal sang mockingly. “Now, before I move on to dear Lisa, I need to know where your little brother Lukah is. Believe me, I’ve searched far and wide. But finding the son of a farmer in this kingdom? Like smelling a fart in a storm.”
