Anthony narrowed his eyes dangerously and glanced at Anne.

Anne did not mind when Anthony answered his phone but stiffened when she sensed his eyes on her. She started guessing who had called and whether it involved her.

‘Did Dad wake up?‘ She thought. ‘No, it doesn’t look like it judging from the look on Anthony’s face.‘

“Are you certain?” Anthony questioned hoarsely.

“Yes. No one else has touched the samples,” Kathryn said confidently.

Without another word, Anthony hung up and proceeded with eating his lunch.

Anne wanted to ask him about it, but held back because the children were still around. “Mama, will you stay with us in the evening?” Chloe asked.
