Corentin turned his body around a little. His facial features could not be clearly seen. in the shadows, which made him look even more like a twisted monster. “A man whol wants to own Tianya.”

Anthony immediately hung up the call and threw his phone hard on the desk causing a loud bang.

Anne was placed on the other side of the desk.

Anne felt like crying and she bit her lips. “From now on…let’s not meet anymore. Let’s not even contact each other anymore. Alright?” As soon as she said that, the person on the other end fell silent. “Listen to me, alright? I’ll return you the favor I’ve owed you in the future…”

Her voice was choking and tears streamed down her face.

They had to cut their losses at the right time. She could not harm Lucas anymore.

“Anne, you don’t owe me anything. I did it all willingly.”

After that, Lucas let go of Anne, and he carefully observed her tiny face. She still has a pitiful expression, which made his heart ache.

“I’m sorry to be here so late,” Lucas said in a hoarse voice.

“You shouldn’t have come…” Anne was still saying the same thing, “If you were found by Anthony’s men, both of us will be doomed.”

“Don’t worry. There’s a secret passage in the study of the mansion I’m staying at. I can just come out from there. The people who are watching me probably still think that I’m in the mansion!” said Lucas.

He would not have come to see Anne if he did not have the assurance.

He said it so casually as if he had only lost a car or a house that did not worth much.

After breakfast, Lucas took her out for a walk in the woods near the house.

It was serene and perfect.

Suddenly, Anne felt that it was not the house that was expensive, but it was the natural scenery here instead.

Anne had been studying in the house for a few days, but she has not been to this

place.

Lucas kept walking forward with her. Then, Anne could not help but ask, “Where are we going?”

“You’ll know when we get there.” Lucas was being mysterious.

Anne has no clue what surprise he wanted to give her. She just followed him quietly.

There was a small hill ahead that they needed to climb up.
