Alex pushed Melanie harshly into the room as soon as he opened the door and closed it.

“Let her go? What did you tell me when you heard about the accident?”

Melanie’s head lowered in embarrassment, but she soon regained herself. “Alex, there was so much pressure on me. Dad’s health hasn’t been good.”
