Cooper then sat beside Timothy on the couch and picked up the kettle to pour himself a cup of coffee.

With his lips parted, Timothy seemed as though he wanted to say something but failed to utter a word.

“Is there a reason why you’re here?” inquired Cooper after taking two sips of his coffee.

“Asel will be one in a few days, so I want you to take Mandy and Lucian with you to my place,” responded Timothy in a hoarse voice.

When Cooper heard that, he raised his hand to rub his eyebrows. “I’ve been so busy recently that I’ve completely forgotten about it. What date is it?”

“The twenty-first.”
