Sherry shot a look at him. Carl smiled charmingly at her and seemed to be waiting for her to say something.

Sherry was made slightly uncomfortable by the way he was looking at her and quipped, “It doesn’t matter to me whether you come back or not, so why are you telling me this anyway?”

Besides, he was able to easily intimidate Madam Sager and the others with just a little bit of posturing, thus there was nothing she needed to worry about.

Carl’s eyes darkened ever so slightly, but he quickly collected himself and smiled nonchalantly again.

“| just wanted to tell you that, no reason.” As he said this, he gently grazed Sherry’s cheeks with the tips of his finger. Sherry was upset by this. “Carl, what’s your problem?”
