Mandy Nursed Colin

Lost in thought, she stood there, her gaze fixed on Colin.

Sensing Mandy’s troubled expression, Cherise approached her and asked softly, “Hey, are you okay?”

Mandy took a deep breath. “Cherry, why don’t you and Damien head to bed? Damien’s got work tomorrow, and it’s late. You both need some rest. I’m pretty much done with everything here in Yatesville anyway, so I can sleep in tomorrow. Besides, Colin got hurt because of me, so it’s the least I can do to look after him.”

Damien nodded. “Sounds good to me.”

He got up and walked straight to the door. Picking Cherise up, who was still standing there deep in thought. He said, “Come on, let’s get some shut-eye.”

Cherise glanced back as they left. Mandy sat next to Colin, carefully wiping sweat off his forehead with a towel. She wanted to stay and watch, but Damien was already pulling her upstairs.
