Desperate, Colin reached out to Cherise for help. “Hey, I need some advice… how do you tackle a man? Is there a way to mend a broken relationship?”

Meanwhile, Cherise read Colin’s message in the event company’s office on her laptop screen and almost choked. “What the heck?! You wanna, like, impress a man? Seriously??”

Suddenly, she struck a chord, “No wonder you never seemed that into Lucy, even though she’s a total babe. So, wait, you’re, like, into guys?”

Colin was dumbfounded. He massaged his temples and glanced at Damien, working away like a robot. How, he wondered, could someone as cold as Damien be so head-over-heels for someone as ditzy as Cherise?

‘The world truly is a strange place,’ he thought.

He took a deep breath and explained, “It’s not what you think. I managed to tick Lennon off this morning. He said some stuff that really got to him, and now he’s locked himself in the office next door. Damien expects me to apologize, but I have no clue how…”
