Practically a Stranger

Colin frowned as he closed the door, lowering his voice, “Why didn’t you lock the door?”

They were in a sham marriage and were barely acquainted. Any cautious woman would have locked the door, but Lucy hadn’t. Instead, she remained perfectly calm as she watched him enter the room.

Although her cheeks were rosy, her eyes showed no sign of panic or tears.

Lucy smiled at Colin. “If I’d locked the door, you wouldn’t have been able to come in. And if you couldn’t come in, that servant watching from afar would get suspicious. Besides, since I will act this role with you, I have to see it through to the end.”

Colin stared at her in astonishment. She wore light purple pajamas that covered her modestly, but she clearly had a great figure. Her dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her fair skin accentuated her delicate features. She looked gentle and elegant under the soft glow of the overhead light.

She smiled cooly at Colin, saying, “I have a black belt in taekwondo, so tonight, you’re sleeping on the floor because you can’t beat me.”
