The two brothers had watched different movies in different theaters, so naturally they hadn’t run into each other during the screenings. However, fate still had its sense of timing—because they met outside the cinema after the movies ended.

Alex and Aitana got into their car first. Less than a minute later, Callum and Camryn came out as well.

“Second Brother.”

As Alex drove past where Callum had parked, he spotted him, stopped the car, rolled down the window, and greeted him with a forced smile.

Callum looked surprised. “Alex? You and Miss Aitana came to watch a movie too? Where’s Cairo?”

He glanced at Aitana in the passenger seat and nodded politely with a smile.

Alex replied pointedly, “So you still remember Cairo? You asked me to pick him up from kindergarten, then abandoned him completely. If you were busy working overtime, that would’ve been fine—but you asked me to babysit and then ran off like this…”
