Serenity spotted her husband practicing martial arts in the backyard. Smiling, she called out, “Why are you practicing martial arts this morning? I thought you were out jogging. And where’s Grandma?”

She hadn’t seen the old lady since she came outside. Normally, Grandma would already be in the yard practicing.

Zachary replied, “Grandma went to Alex’s place. Some of her medical reports come out today, and she wanted him to go with her to the hospital to pick them up.”

“Oh,” Serenity said, nodding. “I figured she couldn’t sit still. Now that Alex has a girl he likes—and she’s from Wiltspoon—there’s no need for him to be flying everywhere. No wonder Grandma keeps hovering.”

She glanced at him. “Are you taking another day off to stay home with Belle?”

Zachary shook his head. “I can’t take time off this morning. I’ll bring Belle to the office. When I’m busy, my secretary can watch her.”
