When Alex returned home, the first thing he noticed were two familiar cars parked in the yard — one was his sister-in-law Serenity’s, and the other belonged to a bodyguard.

His sister-in-law was clearly visiting.

He parked his electric scooter, pocketed the keys, and walked inside.

“Grandma, Sister-in-law — I’m back,” Alex called out.

Serenity had been chatting with the old lady. When she heard Alex’s voice, she turned toward the doorway with a warm smile.

“Did you deliver the fruit to Dr. Pollock?” she asked.
