Alex had once been in a car accident, though fortunately, his injuries weren’t serious. He hadn’t wanted to stay in the hospital, but his brothers had insisted.
During that time, the head doctor quietly told Aitana that Alex was no ordinary patient — he was the young master of the York family, the wealthiest family in the country — and advised her to be extra careful with him.
But Aitana had simply smiled.
As a doctor, she treated every patient with the same dedication, whether they were rich or poor. Still, she appreciated the head doctor’s good intentions.
Alex had never lied to her.
It was Joaquin who didn’t know. He’d always assumed Alex was a freeloader living off his relatives, and so he thought Aitana had been deceived too.
