The old lady smiled kindly. “Alright, I won’t wander off. I’ll just wait here for him. Dr. Pollock, you go on—you’ve got plenty of patients waiting.”

Though Aitana was young and had only recently transferred to Wiltspoon City Hospital, her medical skills were exceptional. At first, some patients doubted her because of her age, but after being treated by her, they became completely convinced of her ability.

Every time Aitana worked in the outpatient department, her appointments filled up quickly.

After giving the old lady a few more instructions, Aitana returned to her consultation room to continue seeing patients.

A short while later, Alex returned and found his grandmother sitting patiently outside the clinic. He walked over and whispered, “Grandma, why are you sitting out here? Don’t you want to chat with Dr. Pollock a bit more?”

The old lady shook her head. “Now isn’t the right time, and it’s not appropriate. Can’t you see how many people are still waiting to see her? Let’s finish the checkups first. Once she’s off work, we can come back and talk. Then we’ll invite her to dinner.”
