Belle paused her drinking, looked up, and called out sweetly, “Uncle Alex.” Then she returned to sipping her milk.

Alex kissed her chubby cheek and chuckled. “Go on, Belle. Drink your milk.”

After a few more sips, Belle stopped again and held the bottle up to Alex’s lips, gazing at him with her big, round eyes — as if asking whether he wanted a taste too.

She was a generous little one, even willing to share her precious milk with her uncle.

Alex laughed softly. “Uncle doesn’t want any. Belle can have it all.”

Satisfied, Belle resumed drinking and quickly finished the bottle. Then she handed it back to Alex, signaling him to clean it.
