Looking at the walls, Yehua felt a heavy wave of sadness and jealousy wash over her. She barely managed to get Joaquin onto the bed before her strength gave out, letting him fall the rest of the way.

“Do you really love Dr. Pollock that much?” she muttered bitterly. “You actually took all these secret photos and plastered them on your walls?”

On the bedside table sat a framed photo—an old group picture from their school days, most likely. Joaquin stood close to Aitana, separated by only one person.
