Two more bodyguards stood watch over Belle, their eyes never leaving her for even a second.
Little Belle was the precious jewel of the York family. If anything happened to her, they wouldn’t be able to face the eldest young master.
Even with Serenity and Jasmine both present, the guards stayed alert, unwilling to take any risks.
“Are you pregnant with your second child?” Serenity asked with a smile. “I thought you didn’t want another one.”
Jasmine laughed softly, her eyes drifting toward Belle. “I really didn’t plan on it. I was afraid I’d end up with another mischievous boy like Milo. He drives me crazy sometimes. But still… I wanted to take the chance and hope for a gentle daughter.
“Milo’s older now — by the time this one’s born, he’ll be seven and sensible. I think he’ll be a good big brother.”
Serenity nodded thoughtfully. “What about your sister-in-law? Does she plan to have another?”
