After dropping off his things and taking a short rest, River brought the elders and Romina back to the Lafayette family estate.

River and Romina’s relationship was now official, and all that was left was to set the wedding date.

Alex, meanwhile, still hadn’t confessed his feelings. After resting for half a month, the bandages around his hands were finally removed—his injuries were completely healed.

However, he continued working fewer hours. He told Zachary that his new house in Wordisk Garden needed to be renovated, and that he often had to visit the building materials market, leaving little time for the company.

Zachary knew perfectly well that Alex’s real reason was to spend more time near Aitana. So, instead of calling him out on it, he reduced Alex’s workload, letting him come and go freely. That gave Alex plenty of extra time.

Summer vacation soon ended.

All the children went back to school—except for Belle. She was still too young for kindergarten, so she stayed home with the old lady.
