Romina laughed. “It’s no trouble at all. My brother can handle things for me anytime. Of course I’ll come pick you up, Auntie. You brought so many things?”
Rosella waved it off. “Not that many. If it weren’t so far, I’d have brought more. I prepared some gifts for you and your family.”
Romina smiled. “Auntie, you’re too kind. You just arrived; there’s no need for gifts. Please don’t spend money next time.”
“It’s nothing,” Rosella replied casually.
The future mother- and daughter-in-law chatted happily as they walked. Romina also made sure to include Tania and Madisyn in the conversation, making everyone feel at ease.
Liam, Matthias, and Bowen weren’t talkative around the younger generation, so Romina politely greeted them, chatted for a bit, and then let River and the men walk together while she continued with the women.
