Chapter 4873
Romina smiled and said, “After work, we can have dinner together, go shopping, catch a movie, or take a weekend road trip. Isn’t that sweet and simple happiness?”
Donovan chuckled. “You really don’t know how to enjoy yourself. I’m offering to take over some of your workload, and you still don’t want to have fun.”
Romina had eaten most of her breakfast by then. “I think this is good for River and me,” she said softly.
The breakfast River had prepared wasn’t huge, but it was perfectly portioned. By the time she finished, she was comfortably full.
River returned from the tea room carrying two cups of coffee, one for Donovan and one for Romina. Then he went back to pour himself a cup.
Since falling in love, River no longer rushed back to his company in the mornings. He wanted to stay by Romina’s side, to be with her every moment. If he could, he would’ve become her shadow—attached to her, inseparable.
Even when they worked apart, River found himself missing her terribly.
