River laughed. “As long as you don’t mind my cooking, I’ll gladly make an extra one for you.”
“I’m just joking,” Donovan said. “I wouldn’t dare compete with my sister. But seriously—you said every day. Can you really keep that up?”
River’s expression turned earnest. “I, River York, always keep my word. Not just breakfast—if Romina wants my cooking for lunch and dinner too, I’ll make it for her every day.”
Donovan burst out laughing. “Then you’ll basically become a stay-at-home husband! What about Yantail? Be careful or it’ll go bankrupt.”
River smiled calmly. “Yantail is solid as a rock now. Even if I’m not there all the time, it runs smoothly.”
He wasn’t exaggerating. River had built a strong management team capable of handling everything.
