Alex hadn’t originally planned to buy in Wordisk Garden. At the time, he didn’t even know Aitana lived there—and besides, it was the most expensive complex nearby.
His own apartment was only worth enough for a down payment. In other neighborhoods, he could have bought outright. His current community was decent, he ran a clinic, and he helped plenty of people back home. So why would he sink everything into Wordisk Garden?
Now, Joaquin regretted not buying sooner.
When he went to the sales office, he learned that except for a few large flats, everything else was sold out. Since its launch, most residents had already renovated and moved in. The occupancy rate was high, property management excellent, and security top-notch.
Without serious intent to buy, he wouldn’t have even been allowed inside.
But those large flats? They were pricier than Alex’s. Joaquin did the math. If he bought one, it would drain his savings dry.
If an emergency came up—or if his clinic struggled—he’d be ruined.
