Chapter 4820
The old lady was the most unassuming person Romina had ever heard of.
She could be a dignified, noble, and kind matriarch, or she could be an ordinary, down-to-earth grandmother. She enjoyed delicacies from land and sea but never turned her nose up at simple home-cooked meals.
Romina said, “The land my family bought has all been developed into real estate or villa complexes. We don’t grow flowers and fruit like you do.”
River signaled for the driver to continue up the mountain. “Our Wildridge Manor is far from the downtown area. As you saw on the way, there aren’t many people living nearby, and those who do are similar to us.
“Grandma said this is a rare, quiet piece of land and shouldn’t be destroyed, so it was never developed into real estate. Besides, it’s too far from the city center. Ordinary families wouldn’t want to buy houses here.”
He smiled. “They don’t have the freedom we do. We’re the bosses—we make the rules. Ordinary people have to think about their children’s schools and their commute. A house too far from work is inconvenient.”
As they climbed higher, Romina admired the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road.
