Zachary’s cousins had brought their children back to the old house to spend time with Grandma. Naturally, they’d stay for a few days.
The old lady was getting older, and every moment spent with her was precious.
She sat beneath the pavilion in the garden, watching her great-grandchildren playing nearby. Jasmine and the others sat with her, chatting as her warm smile never faded.
“If only it could be this lively every day,” the old lady said cheerfully. “But everyone’s busy with school or work, and when they’re not around, this whole villa feels too quiet. It’s no fun. I think I’ve gotten old and started fearing loneliness.”
With age, she no longer had the energy to travel or keep herself busy like she used to. These days, she felt the weight of solitude more than ever.
