He teased, “Serenity took the kids out this time. They must be having a blast. Jasmine’s been wanting to take Milo out too, but she says she can’t handle him alone. So she asked me when I could take a few days off.”

Zachary slipped his phone back into his pocket. “You don’t need long—just a week should do. You’ve already finished your current work, so go ahead and take some time off.”

Josh smiled. “Thanks. I just don’t know where to take him. All kids seem to love amusement parks, but for us adults, they’re kind of boring.”

Zachary said, “It’s about the kids, not us. We’re just there to let them have fun and create happy memories. It’s about giving them a great childhood—what we like doesn’t matter.”

Josh chuckled. “You say that, but don’t you and Serenity often leave your kids at home and sneak off for some fun of your own?”
