After a pause, Duncan asked his friend, “Zachary, do you want me to get the certificate with your sister early? In the past, she was unwilling to marry me, but later, I felt that I was disabled and didn’t want to drag her down. Before I recovered, I didn’t want to get the certificate from her.
Is this why she loses confidence and suspects that I have second thoughts? I am really afraid that I will not be able to recover and will be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, dragging her down.
