Bonnie shrugged it off. “I’m not stupid. I can tell she’s trying to provoke me. Why should I bother competing with a clown like her? It’s embarrassing.”

“Exactly. Come on, let’s go to the convenience store. I’ll treat you to ice cream,” Avril said, pulling Bonnie outside.

Selina was seething with anger, her fingertips trembling. Watching Bonnie leave and feeling everyone around her laughing at her, she felt like Bonnie described her. She was just a clown.

“Bonnie, aren’t you afraid that by avoiding the challenge, rumors will spread that your country bumpkin parents didn’t give you anything and that their daughter is naturally useless?” Selina taunted.
