“I’m the last of my kind. I can’t end like this. This is not the end of me. Mark my words, I… ” His words faded off as he did, until what remained was his crown, sitting obediently on the spot he just disappeared from.

There was silence before the clatter of a sword resounded in the room, yet no one was willing to speak.

Koan turned to address the crowd, but he sees Naomi getting up from the floor, Nancy holding onto her, their hairs matted to their foreheads with sweat, dirt and blood.
