Chapter 351-360
Chapter 351
Never See Them Again The moment Samuel exited the mansion, he spotted Richardâs car and walked over. Richard was smoking with his windows rolled down, and his arm hanging outside the car. The hand that usually held a scalpel currently had a cigarette between its fingers, giving off a depressing vibe. When Richard saw Samuel approaching him, he tossed his cigarette and got out of the car. âDid you find anything?â Samuel asked with a deep and icy voice. âNothing. By the time we went after them, the island was already empty,â said Richard with a complicated expression.
Samuel fell silent. âWhat did Kathleen say?â Richard asked with a look of curiosity. âShe still doesnât want to talk about it,â Samuel said indifferently. âSam, time waits for no one. The male lovebug in your body shouldnât be taken lightly.â Richard frowned. âDonât forget, Yareliâs the biggest threat.â âI know this better than you,â Samuel responded in an icy tone. âGemmaâs staying here tonight. Why are you still here?â âI thought youâd be staying for the night. That way, she wonât have to stay,â said Richard coolly. âI just came back yesterday.â âForget about it. Kathleen treats me like a total stranger now,â Samuel said gloomily. Richard snorted lightly. âWell, well. Finally getting a taste of your own medicine, eh? Remember how you hurt her in the past? Yet, she still returned and was reluctant to part with you.
Now that sheâs forgotten all about you, all she has for you is indifference, no matter how much you care.â Samuel stretched out his hand toward Richard. âGive me a cigarette.â Richard handed Samuel one, and the latter lit it up. âHave you heard of this saying?â Richard asked slowly. ââOne would eventually have to pay for their evil deeds.â Because of Nicolette, you ignored Kathleen in the past. Well, serves you right. Itâs time you get a taste of your own medicine.â Samuel glanced at Richard in displeasure. âAre you staying here just to make fun of me?â Richard chuckled. âAnyway, do you want to have a drink? Youâre not taking care of your children tonight, anyway.â Samuel shook his head.
âNo, thanks. Iâve been trying to keep to a healthy lifestyle lately.â Richard was at a loss for words. With that, Samuel entered his car and drove away, leaving behind a puzzled Richard. Did I hear that correctly? Did he just say âhealthy lifestyleâ? Not long after, Samuel arrived at Florinia Manor. The mansion was brightly lit. When he entered the house, Calvin and Wynnie were sitting in the living room. âMom? Dad?â Samuel called out in puzzlement. Wynnie rose to her feet. âSamuelâŚâ A thought came to Samuelâs mind, and he quickly explained, âMom, the children are with Kate.
I hope you can be understanding and let her have her way.â âDonât worry. We wonât stop her,â Wynnie assured, walking over to Samuel. âI just wanted to know when can we visit her. How is she doing?â Samuel said grimly, âShe needs to recuperate for now. Please help me explain this to Grandma. Itâs best to not bother Kate for the time being and let her get enough rest.â âOkay. Donât worry.â Wynnie nodded. âRemember to pass Kate our regards.â Samuel gave her a complicated look. âMom, you should prepare yourself mentally. Kateâs lost her memory. And with everything she had experienced over the past few years, sheâs not the same person anymore.â âDonât worry. We understand.â Wynnie smiled kindly. âWeâre just glad to hear that sheâs fine.â Calvin got to his feet. âIf thereâs nothing else, weâll get going then.â Samuel nodded. âGoodbye.â Calvin nodded and led Wynnie out of the mansion. As soon as they got into the car, Wynnie broke into tears. âDarling, do you think Kate will take the children away?â she sobbed. âIf she does, we wonât see them anymore.â Calvin was dumbstruck. Why is she suddenly crying?
âI donât think thatâll happen,â Calvin said, though feeling unsure. âDidnât you hear Samuel just now?â Wynnie wiped her tears. âKateâs lost her memory. Even her personality has changed. Iâm worried she has lost all her feelings for Samuel. What if she takes the children away from Samuel and us? What if they leave this place? Oh no⌠I wonât get to see my grandchildren anymore.â Calvin was stumped. That night, when everyone was asleep, Kathleen sat by the window and gazed at the moon. It was exceptionally large and round. Suddenly, her phone rang. When Kathleen saw the phone number on the screen, the corner of her lips curled into a smirk. âMaster, I canât believe you actually called.â Kathleenâs tone was indifferent. âKathleen, Iâll never let you off!â Theodore growled. âIâll never let you take my daughterâs blood,â responded Kathleen calmly. âYou tricked me back then for my daughter, didnât you?â Theodore was stumped, but he soon answered, âSo what?â âMaster, your biggest mistake is messing with my daughter,â Kathleen informed coldly. Theodore scoffed, âI wasnât expecting you to regain your memories at this time either.â
