This statement was true. My kid was small in my memories, but she had grown so large, even if she was still soft.

“When you weren’t at home!” She blinked her big eyes and looked at my face. This answer had some weight to it, making me feel a bit guilty. She continued to ask, “Mom loves Ava the most, right?”

“Of course! Mom loves Ava the most!” I said, but I felt nervous inside. Since she could say such things, it meant her little mind was troubled again. This child was so clever.

“Mom has been too busy lately! I haven’t properly kissed my precious daughter! What’s wrong? Did you miss Mommy?” I asked as I gave her a quick kiss.
