"She..." Tessa was about to answer when she caught a glimpse of Edward, who was driving in the front seat. Hence, she changed her mind and said, "It's nothing."

Despite her response, he immediately saw through her evasion. He swept a glance at Edward and stopped pursuing the matter.

When they reached home, Nicholas took Tessa to the bedroom and resumed their conversation from before. "Is your friend's condition related to Edward?"

Edward was stunned. He never imagined that his employer would suddenly gain an interest in his private life.

Tessa was dumbfounded by the revelation. Although she had always known that Edward generally handled most affairs efficiently, she never imagined that he would take the same approach when it came to his marriage matters. “What do you think?”
