Inside the great hall, the air grew heavier in an instant.

Godric’s expression froze for a brief moment. The color in his face shifted—green to pale—while the fury in his chest surged higher and higher.

Even so, he forced it down.

He bent again, lowering himself further.

When he spoke, his voice was more humble than before, carrying open remorse and a clear admission of fault.

“Back then… I was arrogant and full of myself. I spoke recklessly and lost my judgment. That’s the only reason I said such disgraceful things. My lord, please be magnanimous and not lower yourself to my level. I ask that you forgive the offense born of my ignorance.”
